The space is then filled with liquid polyurethane foam for insulation and strength. This method is superior to polystyrene or styrofoam insulated doors as polyurethane has twice the R-value in the same thickness as styrofoam insulation and becomes very hard upon drying adding strength to the door sections. A full width rubber weatherseal eliminates air and wind infiltration between each door section.
